Seminar on Teaching and Learning in higher education
(Högskolepedagogiska kollegiet vid Göteborgs universitet)

Invites you to discuss

Personalised Learning: Fitting the course to the student
Friday 11 March 2011, at 9:00-12:00
Pedagogen, Grönsakstorget: A2 311

Invited speaker is Professor Frank Rennie, from Lews Castle College:

In this seminar I would like to explore the potential use of new technologies, particularly "Web 2.0" internet applications to provide a more rich and supportive learning environment. I think this is particularly targeted at adults in higher education. The flexibility and ease of access of these applications, and the links that can be made to repositories of knowledge seem to offer a new opportunity to place the student at the centre of the learning activities and support diverse paths towards the acquisition of skills and knowledge. This is not a presentation by me, but rather an opportunity to share experiences of this topic area.

Discussant is Russell Francis, Post Doctoral fellow at the Dep of Education and LinCS at GU
